About the band
Allons
Ben Schabelski -- Bass
Plays with Big Moe and the Road Kings, and has been with the
Undertones, Catalyst, Lunatic Fringe, Working Class Heroes and the
Jades -- all of St. Louis. ;A native of St. Louis, Ben owns about a dozen
bass guitars, with a couple of stand-ups, and has sat in with jazz, rock,
church and blues musicians most of his life.
David Nemerov -- Drums, Vocals
Began playing jazz with Bagatelle and Equator. He was a founding member
of The Apollos, and has played with Ed Doney. A long time St. Louisan,
Dave has played a number of clubs, theaters and other venues in the city.
Carol Davis -- Vocals, Guitar, Percussion
Fairly new to the local music scene, Carol has most recently been the female
lead singer with The Assperuss Desperess Band, Alton, Ill. She has a
strong country background, but loves old rock, blues and R & B. She brings
a strong voice to such tunes as Summertime, Chain of Fools, and A Thing
Called Love.
Ronald "Fr. Ron" Clingenpeel -- Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica
Since coming to St. Louis, Fr. Ron has been a founding member of The
Taylor Young Blues Band. Having lived in New Orleans most of his adult
life, he also helped found 3rd quarter Prophets in the Crescent City and
sat in with such local notables as The Bucktown Allstars, Frankie Ford,
and various other artists. His harmonica can be heard on Fran
McKendree's latest album Cairn. He was also an original member of
Saddle Tramp, in New York City.
