the band's music
Allons
Our music is both familiar and unique for St. Louis. A
little bit of classic rock, some classic R & B, blues, some
jazz and a pot of music from Louisiana make a rich gumbo
fit for any occasion.
Let us take you to the Mississippi Delta with such rich
tunes as Stormy Monday and an original version of Hound
Dog -- or take a trip up the river to that Sweet Home
Chicago.
R & B numbers like Fortunate Few, Giving It Up For Your
Love, Unchain My Heart, Mustang Sally, Walking the Dog
or Hey Bartender, will bring back some great memories
and maybe make some new ones.
We Gotta Get Outta This Place, Heartbreak Hotel, See
Ya Later Alligator and When Will I Be Loved are classic
rock numbers you won't want to miss.
Let us take you down the bayou to south Louisiana for a
bit of the Zydeco Boogaloo, Going Back to Big Mamou, I
I I - No No, Cornbread, and other swampy tunes. Add to
that a bit of New Orleans own Yellow Moon, Red Beans,
the Audubon Zoo Song, If Ever I Cease to Love, and you
have a great mix of Louisiana music that will have your
feet tapping and your heart melting.
We also have original tunes -- Blues #42, a traditional
style song about love lost -- Two-Step Boogie, a
toe-tapping shuffle -- Marie Laveaux, a song about the
Voodoo Queen of New Orleans -- and the ever soulful I
Need A Man.
There is much, much
more to this great band --
lots of tunes from the rich
traditions of blues, rock,
R & B and soul. You
might even detect a bit of
country influence and a hard
rock lead from time-to-time. That is what really makes
the House of Bishops unique. There is a desire to test
and explore many avenues to bring you a wonderful
entertainment event.
From the south side of Chicago, through the Mississippi
Delta, to the hill country of Texas to the bayous of
Louisiana, we have searched for good time music to make
your evening a great event. Come and join us, sit back and
relax, join the fun. You might even help us sing the Long
Tall Texan, Johnny B. Good, Twist & Shout, Ooh La La,
or bask in the memories of Can't Help Falling In Love,
Bridge Over Troubled Water, and Gimme One Reason.
We know we have the music that will make you feel good.
